I can't open up contacts in windows live mail

Hi,

It's possible that your issue is being caused by a synchronization error between Hotmail servers and Windows Live Mail program.

Have you tried to reconfigure your Hotmail account into your Windows Live Mail? If not, I suggest that you try to remove the account first and then reconfigure it back into your Live Mail program. Please follow the steps below on how to configure a Windows Live Hotmail account in Windows Live Mail:

For Windows XP

1. Click the Add e-mail account link on the lower left corner of the screen.
2. Type your e-mail address, password, and display name on their respective boxes.
3. Click Next.
4. Mark the Set this account as the default mail account as per your preference.
5. Click Finish to complete set-up.

For Windows Vista/Windows 7

1. Select the Accounts tab or hit Alt + S
2. Click Email (the one with an @ and green + icon)
3. Follow the steps you’ll be prompted.    

To remove the account:

1. Right click on the account as displayed on the folder pane.
2. Click Remove account.
3. Confirm the action by clicking Yes.
4. Then, add your account by following the set of instructions above on configuring a Hotmail account.

All my contacts except 5 disappeared and the contacts page does not appear when clicked on. I followed the above instructions but it has made no apparent diffence
