One email account in my Windows Live mail keeps creating a folder named "Unwanted"

I have about 11 email accounts set up in my Windows Live mail.

Last week I noticed  the inbox of my busiest account (a Hotmail account) suddenly went quiet.

After some searching I discovered a fold called "Unwanted", where all my mail was filtering to.

I deleted the folder in live mail, on the webmail and also on my phone.

Within minutes it was back and receiving mail.

This is NOT my default account.  I made sure that the senders and their domains were not blocked as Junk. I have other Hotmail accounts on this Live Mail and they are not creating this folder, only the one account.

I am at a loss as to what to do.

... also on my phone.

Is your phone a Samsung Galaxy S5, by any chance? If so,

  1. On the phone, open the email app.
  2. Press Menu key > SettingsGeneral Settings
  3. Select Spam addresses and look for any addresses that shouldn't be there, then delete them.

Now you should be able to move the messages out of the Unwanted folder and delete it.

[The folder is called Junk on the S4. See Outlook creates extra folder called "Junk" in Mailbox]
