Windows Live Mail is stuck sending something

Today I've noticed that Windows Live Mail failed to send a message (prepared yesterday) saying that there is some relay problem for the given recipient address. However, this is not the issue I am puzzled about. The problem is this: I deleted that "unsendable" message from the Outbox, and now whenever I start Windows Live Mail, I get the Send And Receive window saying that it's executing a sending task, but it appears to be just stuck: I cannot press Stop button, and pressing the Hide button just makes this window disappear (and I cannlot get to the main window anymore).

Please help to get Windows Live Mail back working again! Any advise or comment would be greatly appreciated.

Well, it looks like I've figured it out. I launched the Task Manager and killed all the processes originated from wlmail.exe file. WLM appears to be working fine now.
