I believe it actually means Download all folders from the menu when you click with right mouse button on the account name.

I am now getting the same error but redownloading folders made no difference.

Hi Everyone,

If you receive 0x800CCCD2, this error means you have an IMAP error.

For further clarifications I would like to ask you some few questions:

>Are the IMAP server settings correct?

>Is SSL required?

>Are the required ports being blocked by Windows Firewall, or a 3 party firewall?

>Are the ports reserved by your ISP for their own mail service?

>Do the folder names on Live Mail match the names you see via webmail (note – they are case-sensitive, and must also match according to language)

For a list of common “CCC” errors, and their root cause, have a look at this KB article.

Thanks!

I have looked at the codes in the KB article.  I did find the 0x800cccd2.  I am just not entirely sure what to do with this information.  I do not know how to correct the situation to stop getting this error code.  I am also getting 3 of every email off of my g mail acct.  Anywhere to go to get more detailed information on how to fix this.  I am a novice with this sort of thing

Hello,

As initial troubleshooting, I recommend that you reconfigure your account in Windows Live Mail.

How do I add an account to Windows Live Mail?

Also, please try to temporarily disable any anti-virus application and Firewall application installed in your computer to eliminate the possible cause of this issue.

If the issue still persists after following the initial troubleshooting above, please answer the following information listed below:

- Is remote access required to access this email?

- Can you log in via webmail for this account, via RAS?

- Have you contacted your network admin?

Regards,

Ken

I encountered the same problem. Decided to disable temporarily the protection of the e mail client of my anti-virus (ESET - NOD7). re-enabled it, and walla! The problem vanished. Hope it keeps on...

Sounds good, but how do I "reconfigure your account in Windows Live Mail".  I also have logged into Webmail, but could not decide what I was looking for.

This novice needs help.  Thanks, George

The best way to get help, George, is to use the Ask a question option on the Participate menu at the top of this page. That way, we can concentrate on your problem without the baggage of more than two years' worth of other people's posts. When you do so, please post the entire error message that you're seeing - it will contain clues to what's wrong. You can click on the error message to select it, then use right-click to copy it and paste it into your post. Please also mention which version of the program you're using on which operating system.
