Access to this feature was removed for users that did not previously set it up. If you had content management turned on before, you will still see the feature on the Family Safety Website on the left hand side of the webpage. If you never set this feature up in the past, it’s just no longer available.

This feature is accessible to users who previously set it up, by going to the Family Safety Website at  http://familysafety.microsoft.com,  and sign in with your parent Windows Live ID. You will see the Contact Management option in the left hand side of the webpage.

(Contact Management is a feature that allows parents to view and control the address book of children that have their Live ID added in Family Safety. The feature also allows parents to block the children’s access to Hotmail and Messenger.)

Hi Zayed AL,

Yes there is another way to block your childs account to use Windows Live Messenger. To do this, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to https://fss.live.com
2. Select the child account you want to manage and click Edit settings
3. Click App restrictions
4. Under Choose app restrictions for Child Account click Turn on app restrictions.
5. Look and expand the Windows Live folder
6. Put a check mark on Messenger\msnmsgr.exe
7. Click Save

After changing the settings in the Family Safety website. Sign in to the Family Safety client with the parent account and on the upper right portion, click on the icon that has 2 arrows (Get the latest settings from the website).

Thanks!
