Using Windows Live Movie Maker and want to make timelapse movie

I have 434 image that I've imported from my GoPro. The images were taken at 10 second intervals. I want to make a timelapse movie of these images but I'm stuck. When I select all of the images, the application will not let me change the duration or "type in" fractions of a second for duration. Once I select them all, the drop down just does not work. It will allow me to set them if I only select 1 or up to 5-6 of them, but not all. I've reviewed threads here that say I should be able to Ctrl-A and then change he duration, but the function does not work.

The version is 15.4.3508.1109

Hi Mark,

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am sorry to know that you are facing issues with Windows Movie Maker.

  • Is the drop down greyed out when you select all images or you get any error message?
  • Did you click on an image and then performed Ctrl + A, or just Ctrl + A?

Meanwhile I suggest you to try selecting 50 images and check if you are able to set the duration.

The drop down is greyed out. And I clicked an image and then did Ctrl+A.

I can do fewer images, maybe up to 30 before it stops allowing me.

Are you sure you are only selecting photos? If you accidentally have a video selected in the middle, it will gray out the duration field.
