Unable to send or receive messages with imap.gmail.com, Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] Web login required

i have a similar question. i am unable to access any email. whats up? 

My gmail account has not received or sent messages since March 30th. I know my ID and PW

I get the following message 

Unable to send or receive messages for the Gmail (agrogers29) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] Web login required: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/78754
Server: 'imap.gmail.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes

Two points to note:

Server: 'imap.gmail.com'
...
Protocol: POP3

You're not likely to be able to connect to an IMAP server using POP3. Gmail's POP3 server is called pop.gmail.com.

That article explains the steps you have to take to ensure that you can connect to Gmail from a mail client program like Windows Live Mail. Once you've made the necessary changes to your Google account, you should be able to send and receive again in Windows Live Mail.
