You have reached Microsoft Community Forum. I understand that you want to print photos where you included captions to better give information on the picture itself. Unfortunately, this feature is not available on the latest installment of Photo Gallery. You can refer to this link and give your feedback and requests. It will be reviewed by Microsoft as they are looking for ideas to make the program better and user friendly.

 

For a workaround, you can refer to the link below and see the instructions on how to edit a photo to include captions using Paint. Look for the steps on "For issue #2 - How to add text along with the photo when I print or share it?"

Now that I have scanned and labled 3000 photographs for my family tree in Photo Gallery, I find that i can't print them or have them play on DVD with captions and tags.  REALLY!  Seems that this would be a given option of the software - sure hope you make this fix a priority !

Unfortunately the Photo Gallery captions are not
displayed with the photos when they are printed
or copied to a disk.

There are software programs that allow you to
manually (permanently) add text to the face of
photos...Paint is one example and the freeware
Picasa is another.

If you want to experiment and take advantage of
the Captions you have added to the metadata of
the photos... there are programs that can create
a slideshow and display the Captions (TItles) that
are included in the EXIF metadata of the photos.
One example of that would be the freeware XnView.

(FWIW...it's always a good idea to create a System
Restore point before installing software or updates)

The "More Options" button accesses the Text Features.

The XnView Slideshow can be saved as an .exe file
that can be shared.
