    - Do you encounter the issue when accessing the email client (Windows Live Mail) or the web-based email (Windows Live Hotmail)?
    - If you're using the email client, do you encounter the same issue when accessing the web-based email?
    - When did this issue started to occur?
    - Do you make any changes to your account before this issue occur?
    - Have you checked the different settings on your account?

-I have used email for years and this problem has only occurred very recently...possibly since accessing Windows Live Mail
-I havent made any changes to my account (only Windows Live Mail)
-I dont think there are any changes on other setting in my account

To further investigate with this issue, we will need additional information below:

  • Does the same issue occur when you access your account on a web browser?
  • Does this issue occur to all emails you receive?
  • Do your contacts receive any bounce message or delivery status notification (delay)?

*yes, the same problem occurs when I access my account on a web browser

Hi chmann,

Please edit your Windows Live Mail settings in Send / Receive Messages. To do this, please follow these steps:
  1. Open Windows Live Mail.
  2. Click Alt + F, O, M.
  3. Under General tab and Send / Receive Messages, please tick the checkbox for Check for new messages every ( ) minutes and you may choose the number of minutes of when the mail client will check for new emails.
  4. Click Apply then OK.
Post back if issue still persists.
