We are a csp partner. I have purchased windows server 2022 standard 16 core pack in perpetual model and the customer needs the 2019 standard version. This can be selected in the options of course and get the key for 2019 version. But the customer may require the 2022 version later after some years and he has asked if the cost is free for upgrading. So, is it possible to get the key again from the same loaded perpetual license for the same customer for the version selection of 2022.

According to Microsoft's policy, you can upgrade to Windows Server 2022 for free if you have purchased a license for Windows Server 2019. This means that you can upgrade to Windows Server 2022 with the perpetual license you purchased without paying any additional fees. In addition, you can get the key again from the same perpetual license loaded by the same customer to upgrade to Windows Server 2022 if needed. Note that this only applies to perpetual licenses, not subscription licenses.
