Driver Power State Failure (Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit)

DJERK asked on
I just re-installed Windows 8.1 Pro after having issues updating graphics drivers for the video card. My self-built system is running fine now and all the drivers look to be current and working in Device Manager. The problem I am having is that whenever I exit hibernation, I get a BSOD that states that Windows had a Driver_Power_State_Failure. I do not know if this occurs on Sleep or Hybrid Sleep as I do not use either method of pausing my system. I uploaded the mini-dump to my sky drive account.

Hi,

The attached DMP file is of the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) bug check.

This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.

If we run an !irp on the blocked IRP address (4th parameter of the bug check), we get the following:

>[ 16, 2]   0 e1 ffffe000009dd050 00000000 fffff8027e988fa0-ffffe00001187800 Success Error Cancel pending

iaStorA.sys is the Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers. Ensure you have the latest drivers via - http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z77%20Extreme4/?cat=Download&os=Win8a64

^^ (Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver and utility ver:12.8.0.1016).
