Windows XP, how do I change the user login name that is "printed" on documents?
i.e. doc prints out "Receptionist" on the footer, I would like to change the word receptionist to "Front Computer"

Is this a used or hand-me-down computer (if so, many here would highly recommend that you do a fresh "clean install" of Windows to ensure that there is nothing lurking in the computer than might end up biting you).
What application are you printing from? The procedure for changing the footer differs for different applications.
If you're using anything that's not built in to Windows (e.g., Microsoft Word), be sure to include the version of the application (click Help > About).

I am printing out construction blueprints on a Canon iPF720 plotter machine. Size is 36" x 48"
The website is called BlueBook (its for Contractors). The files opened say they
come from a docstream. It looks like Adobe Reader's format but available online.
- In the docstream link, I hover over the bottom of the screen & get a printer icon.
- I click on the printer icon and my printing options appear
- I select my printer "iPF720"
- Then "Properties" tab
- Then "Layout" tab
- I select "Page Options" and get three options- Print Date, Print User Name and Print Page Number.
- I go to Print User Name and select "Print on Bottom Right"
- Now when I print preview, the bottom right says, "Receptionist"
- I am trying to change the Receptionist into another word.
Does that help any?

However, if "Receptionist" is NOT the user name that you use to log on to the computer with, the following may help (or not, depending on the software involved): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310441?wa=wsignin1.0
Of course, given that you are on a work computer, perhaps you might want to ask your company IT department before you start messing around in the Registry (assuming that your Network Administrator hasn't locked you out of the capability).
