Q: Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application.

I Downloaded .show desktop Button for win xp it requires .Net framework i downloaded 4.0 version of  .Net framework when i execute show desktop button a windows popups (with title of show desktop.exe- .NET Framework intialization Error) and say UNable to find a version of the runtime to run this application.

Is the issue specific to ‘show desktop button’ program?

 

Follow the mentioned methods:

Method 1:

Perform Cleanboot and try to install the program and check.

Put the computer in Clean Boot state to see if there is any software conflict as clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts.

Method 2:
