SQL Server 2000 that works on Windows XP 64-bit

I've got a computer that has XP 64-bit installed on it.  I'm trying to install a design program that utilizes MSDE 2000.  The problem I'm running into is that during the install, it tries to install MSDE 2000 and it hangs because it is a 32-bit based utility.  I'm looking for the 64-bit based MSDE 2000.  I'm hoping that if I install it before I run the program install, it will just bypass it.
According to http://www.microsoft.com/hk/sql/evaluation/sysreqs/2000/default.mspx, "If you are running a 64-bit version of a Microsoft Windows Server™ operating system, you need to use SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (64-bit)."

You'll either need to do that or install it on a 32-bit OS or upgrade to a newer version of SQL Server.
