As per the issue description, I understand that you have an issue with computer booting. We need more information to assist you better; I would request you to send us more information as listed below.


Have you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue?


You may refer the following methods; these methods might help you in fixing the problem.


Method 1:

Disconnect the all external hardware apart from the keyboard and mouse, restart the computer and check the issue status.


Method 2:

How to start your computer by using the Last Known Good Configuration feature in Windows XP.



Method 3:

If the computer is unable to start in the Last Known Good Configuration, try to start the computer in safe mode.

Step 1:

To start the computer in safe mode.



Step 2:

If the computer works fine in safe mode, perform the system restore to a system restore point where the computer was working fine.

How to restore Windows XP to a previous state.

Note: Undo System Restore will not work when System Restore is invoked from Safe Mode.
