windows xp black screen after startup logo

windows xp reboot displays start screen then goes black,what do i do to restore?i tried safe mode all3,tried start with best configurations,normal startup,still black screen

Hi,

You may try the following methods and check the status of the issue.

Method 1:

Remove any external device connected to the computer and check if it helps. Also make sure that no disc is present in the CD/DVD Rom drive.

 

Method 2:

In the ‘Advanced boot menu’ options select ‘Enable low resolution video’ mode and check the status.

Method 3:

Perform a startup repair from recovery console using the Windows XP installation disc. If Startup repair fails then try to restore the computer to a previous point when it was working fine using ‘System Restore’ option under Recovery Console.
