What are the Options for Windows XP automatic logon apart from the obvious http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231?
I don't think this is possible but is there another way to enable automatic logon with the risk of compromising your security. Only two options I'm aware of is
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231 or scripting it which basically achieves the same thing.

No matter what autologon process you use the result is the same, your username and an encrypted password are stored in the Registry and your computer can be accessed by anyone. It doesn't matter if you use the KB article or a script file or whatever. The result, and the risk, remains the same.
