Hi Ericmorson ,

Have you made any recent software or hardware changes on the system?

Method 1:

Check if the Audio Service is running.

a. Click Start, Select Run and enter “services.msc” (without quotes). Press OK.

b. Locate Windows Audio service from the list of services.

c. Right-click on Windows Audio Service. Select Properties.

d. Under “Startup Type” select “Automatic” and Click “Start” under “Service Status”. Click OK.

Method 2:

Try uninstalling and reinstalling sound card from device manager.

a. Click Start, Select Run and enter “devmgmt.msc” (without quotes). Press OK.

b. Expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

c. Right click on the sound card and select Uninstall.

d. Restart the computer and Windows should now detect the sound card and install the sound drivers.

You may also refer the computer manufacturer website and update the latest audio drivers.
