Search Enhancement folder appears at Windows XP startup after installing the Search Enhancement update.


Hi, I recently downloaded the SEARCH ENHANCEMENT update from Microsoft. Now everytime I restart my computer the SEARCH ENHANCEMENT folder appears. I can click to close it but it is so annoying. Any ideas how I can stop this. It won't let me delete the file either. Thanks



Let’s follow these steps & check if it helps.

Step 1

You may try to perform system restore which will restore back the computer to the point when it was working fine.

Step 2

Thereafter, try to configure the computer in clean boot state and install Search Enhancement update. It will start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and helps to eliminate software conflicts.
