Runtime error . c:\windows\system32\SearchFilterHost.exe R6025 -pure virtual function call

Hello, I would great appreciate if someone could help me to resolve this error. I am constantly getting an error message "Runtime error . c:\windows\system32\SearchFilterHost.exe R6025 -pure virtual function call". Only OK is available to select but it never goes away. I can continue to use my computer by moving this error dialog to a side. Any idea what is causing this error. I think the error is coming from windows desktop serach. I am using windows xp professional. Thanks in advance.

Uninstall the Windows Desktop Search utility via add/remove

the desktop search utility is causing the problem. Sadly enough i use it for windows, outlook and other programs.

If you take out any of the foriegn drives that its trying to index, it should solve the problem.

Hi, I uninstalled and reinstalled my Windows Desktop Search and so far it didn't help, from what I understand from Microsoft (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/240437 and r6025) this also might be a problem of registration in Windows. So any idea what I need to do to reregister Windows Desktop Search?
