run dialog box just flashes then disappears,

Start>run dialog box  just flashes then disappears, ie the box opens and i can type regedit in but all i get is a quick flash of the CMD box

That way, you would have to enter 'cmd' in the Run box.

But you can hold down Ctrl, click File, New Task and the command prompt window will open without having to enter 'cmd' in the Run box...

Right?

start>all programs>accessories>cmd      then run SFC /scannow

tried that now without any luck

so have re-installed windows and the run box now works

come a point where it’s quicker to back everything up and do a fresh install.

But NOW Hotmail is not working, page loads ok but i cant open any emails or folders, Google shows loads of people with the same problem going back years, so many all saying the same thing that i have not found a solution as yet.
