I have a 150 gb hard drive but only 30gb is on C: and 120gb is on D. How do I access the free space because I'm running out of space on C

Of the 150Gb drive 120gb is coming up as a system d (Data) leaving only 30gb in system c which means I'm running out of space. Can I access or connect C to D to allow the hard drive to operate as a whole

Go to run,type:diskmgmt.msc

In msc,L.click on D: drive,go to actions,all,select "make active",close

out msc.To add 3rd party type programs/software,you need to uninstall it

first,then reinstall it to D:

Also,move music,video,photos to D: drive.

To combine the two partitions, youd need to boot to xp installation cd,at menu

press  r  key for recovery console,in recovery,type: DiskPart,in DiskPart,delete
