Question

Q: could not start the windows time service on local computer error 2 This thread is locked from future replies

Cannot Update system clock from Internet Time.

After double click of time display in Task-bar, the Date and Time Properties window is shown.
Next I click Internet Time tab then click Update now - this produces the following message...

"An error occurred getting the status of the last synchronization. The RPC server is unavailable"

Next I clicked Start > Control Panel > Administrative Services > Services > Windows Time
I click Start the service and get the following message...

"could not start the windows time service on local computer.
error 2:  The system cannot find the file specified"

Help!  What now?
