Does XP SP2 have SATA drivers?

Hello,

I have only one question. Did Micorsoft implement SATA drivers, when XP SP2 was published? I am sorry if someone can`t understand my question, my english not so good.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 Operating system does not include any drivers for the Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA). These are the drivers which are to be obtained from your computer manufacturer.Contact the manufacturer to obtain the same.

Your Disc for the motherboard should have the SATA drivers on it so as long as you have loaded up the software properly,you should be able to plug the drive up using SATA cables and away you and then go to the motherboard manufacturers website and download the newest bios version.
