Cannot increase colour quality from 8 bit in Windows XP Pro. How can it be changed?

Picture quality is very poor and colours appear to be the reverse of normal. Have attempted several times to increase the colour quality but to no avail. The settings in the display icon in the control panel only have the colour quality as Low (8 bit.) even on the drop-down.

It could be that the graphics card drivers have gone bad or corrupt.

You may try uninstalling and re-installing the graphics card drivers:

Step 1:

You may uninstall the graphics card drivers and reinstall it back & check if the issue persists.

Step 2:

You may also download and install the latest graphics card drivers from the manufacturer’s website
