Uninstall or remove the ports and the drivers and then reinstall the scanner. You may follow the below steps:
a. Click on start
b. Click on Run
c. Type in cmd in the run box
d. Type in: printui /s /t2
e. Printer server properties page opens
f. Remove the scanner driver installed
g. Click on port tab and remove the port
h. Restart the computer and reconnect the scanner. Let windows install the printer drivers through Windows update.
