Not able to transfer folders from Samsung galaxy s2 to the computer.

Original title: samsung galaxy S2 smartphone folders usb mtp

I used to be able to open and transfer files directly to my Samsung Galaxy S2 via USB.

I have installed and uninstalled the Samsung USB phone driver, but always get the same problem of not being able to transfer files.

I have attached a screenshot of what I get now in not being able to open the folders on my phone.

Hi Ivars,

Thank you for posting the question on Microsoft Community.

As per the description provided, it looks like you are not able to transfer files from a Samsung phone to the computer.

We are not able to open the screenshot.

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the link and post the screen shot on this forum.

How do I: Post a screen shot on this forum?

I have a couple of steps which should assist you to fix the issue.

Try these steps and check:

a. Do not connect the USB cable first.
b. Go to settings/wireless & network/usb/connect and tap the icon in the samsung galaxy phone.
c.  It will prompt you to connect the cable. That's when you connect the cable, and then tap another icon on the screen.
d.  If that doesn't work, try connecting to different USB port.
Additionally, you may contact Samsung for further assistance.

Hope this information helps. In case you have any questions with Windows, post here at Microsoft Community.
