How do I force XP Home windows to open MAXIMIZED?

When I right click the quick start icon for Google, under properties there is no drop down menu where I can open the window in different sizes (normal, maximized, etc.). However I have seen this different type of 'properties' box that did give you a choice in the manner but like I say it's not available when I rt-click the icon. Thanks for taking the time to point me in a different direction, Patrick

Answer

If it is IE, then I have this CR. The third option may be what you need.

Three options.

1: Grab the corners of the window and drag it to full screen size. Do not use Maximize. Close all other windows first via the Taskbar and this one last. Windows will remember the size used of the last window closed the next time you open the program.

2: Whichever shortcut you are using to launch the window, right click it and select properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down, choose "Maximized".

3:  IE New Window Maximizer
