"You may be a victim of software counterfeiting" (referring to Microsoft Windows).

I keep getting this message: "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting" (referring to Microsoft Windows). I have had this computer for years and my system has been valadated before without any problems. Why am I getting this message after all of these years. Also I have moved a few times, so I don't know where my packet with the the discs or paperwork. What should I do to fix this. Thanks in advance.

You can run the Windows Product Activation wizard by clicking Start, then Run, and type in "oobe/msoobe /a" (less quotes). It will tell you if it's activated or not.
