Running a VNC server on Vista Home Premium

I am not able to connect to a VNC server I am running on my Vista system.
Were you able to run a VNC server in your Vista system? Which VNC server? Did you have to change setting in your Vista system?

Thanks in advance,
L.

Hi leojb75023,

Welcome to Microsoft windows vista forums!

You cannot use VNC server (remote desktop) to connect to remote (host) computers running windows vista home premium. However, higher edition of windows vista (E.g. business, enterprise and ultimate) support remote desktop functionality.

Check the following link for more information

Also, check if the version of VNC server is compatible with windows vista

Windows vista compatibility centre

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=VNC%20server

Please contact VNC server manufacturer for further assistance.

Hope this information is helpful
