Unable to connect to Windows XP Pro SP3 machine using remote assistance

Remote Assistance XP Pro sp3 and Windows 7Any

I realise Windows 7 is still in RC, so if that's the answer, then it is what it is. :-)

Trying to help me mum with remote assistance.  She's running XP Pro sp3, and I'm running a fully patched Windows 7 box.  When she sends the RA invite, the 7 box attempts to connect, says it's connected, and then is waiting for User Response.  However, she never got a prompt on her machine to accept the request.

Now, I know what y'all are thinking, so take this into consideration.  When that didn't work, I broke out my other notebook running XP Pro SP3, and immediately was able to get onto her box with no problems ie everything behaved as expected.

Any suggestions for W7 connecting to a XP Pro sp3 box with RA?  I can see it as an ISP thing--maybe 7 using a protocol her ISP blocks (like cox communications blocks port 80 on residential users), maybe a DCOM conflict, or some such.  I'm really hoping it's not just plain stupidity on my part, but it wouldn't be the first time. ;-D

Any Input Appreciated

Thanks,

Joe

ps We also tried direct connecting to the net -- no devices between us other than DSL modem (her end) and cable modem (my end).
