Outlook won't send email

Often when I travel, Outlook 2007 will pick up email, but it won't send. I get this error message:

Task '*** Email address is removed for privacy *** - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC80) : 'None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server.'

Can I change some settings to enable it to work with various wifi networks?

This is a Dell XPS laptop with Vista. I have tried using a completely different email account and get the same message, so I feel that it must be a computer setting.

You need to change the setting for the outgoing server.  This setting must be changed to use the SMTP server owned by which ever ISP you're connected to.  The only other way to do this is to find out if your ISP offers a different connection method for his sending server for times when folks are not directly connected.  You could also get an account wwith a national provider like GMail for use when out of town.  All ISPs will block your use of any port 25 SMTP server other than their own. For an explanation of this policy, see:

Port 25 Blocking
