Q: my windows sidebar has stopped working This thread is locked from future replies

My windows sidebar has just suddenly stopped working a while back, but it took me some days to notice, so I dont know exactly when it stopped. I do not want to restore to a previous date as I do not know which date would be correct. The sidebar will not open at all, so I cannot uninstall any gadgets. However, I only have the default gadgets that came with my computer, I have not downloaded any new gadgets. Please help me out, as i have searched Help & Support for guidance but I could not find any information to help me out with my problem. Here is some information about my computer, I shall provide more if needed.
