Original title: internal error 2908

I'm trying to install Microsoft .net framework 1.1 and I'm getting this error: Internal error 2908

Any suggestions?

Hi Stephan,

This problem occurs if the previous install is corrupted or broken. Most of the times, re-installing the program again will do the trick. I would suggest you to try the steps mentioned below.

Steps to re-install Microsoft .net framework 1.1

a.    Click on Start; in the start search type cmd.

b.    Right click on cmd.exe and choose to run as administrator.

c.    Type the following command and press enter after each command.

Regsvr32 /u mscoree.dll

Regsvr32 mscoree.dll

d.    Close the command prompt.

Download Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 from the link given below and then try to install it.

Hope this information is helpful and let me know if you need any further assistance.
