Can I have 2 versions of Internet Explorer downloaded on my computer?

I upgraded to IE 9 but need version 8 for a website that I use for school. Is it possible to have two different versions downloaded onto Windows Vista? Like having Mozilla and Internet Explorer or will IE 9 be replaced if I download IE 8?

No.  You can only have one version of IE installed.  Please review: Some Web sites may not behave as expected in Internet Explorer

Answer

You don't download IE8 to replace IE9. Use the procedure here to go back to IE8:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/how-do-i-install-or-uninstall-internet-explorer-9

There are some hacks around to run multiple versions of IE, like this: http://utilu.com/IECollection/

But it doesn't have IE9 in yet.

This answer is provided “as-is.” You bear the risk of using it.
