How do I tell if my computer has a memory problem?

I think my computer might have a memory problem, how do I tell?

Answer
Answer

Usually, Windows automatically detects possible problems with your computer’s memory and displays a notification that asks if you want to run the Memory Diagnostics Tool.

If the Windows Memory Diagnostics tool does not run automatically, you can run it manually.

Click Start , click Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, click Administrative Tools, and then click Memory Diagnostics Tool.‌

·          If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Choose between the two options for when to run the Memory Diagnostics Tool:

·         You can restart your computer and run the tool immediately.

·          You can restart your computer and run the tool later.
