how do I fix Error in c/:windows\system32\nvhotkey.dll missing entry start?

“nvhotkey.dll” is a NVIDIA Hotkey Service Module from NVIDIA Corporation belonging to The NVIDIA Hotkey Service Non-system processes like nvhotkey.dll originated from software you installed on the system.


·         Do you have any software related to nVidia?


Method 1: Update the same and also check for any updated drivers from the nVidia support website.


Method 2: If this does not help then try the following.


Step 1: Boot the computer in safe mode and check for the issue.


Step 2: If no issue occurs then boot the computer normally and follow this article to find the cause of the issue.


a.        Click Start. type “msconfig.exe” (without quotes), and then press Enter to start the System Configuration Utility

b.       On the General tab, click Selective Startup, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box

c.        On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all. Click OK, and then click Restart.


Note: Make sure you put the computer back to Normal Startup once you are done.
