Did wonder if it had anything to do with upgrading Kaspersky, have use 2010 and 2011 ok but since 2012 (installed 2 months ago) starting having problems from time to time though since last week almost every day.

Thanks for help. I eventually stripped out Kaspersky and all seems ok for now.  I have written to them with full details to see what they have to say about all this.
