Hello, dreamcatcher16

Thank you for using the Answers Forum!

Are you upgrading to Windows Vista or Windows 7?

You can get your username by going to C:\Users\ and look for your login name on Windows Vista and C:\Documents and Settings\ for Windows XP.

We are unable to provide assistance with regards to recovering a password.

If you are able to login to your machine and have administrator rights then you can change your password by going to Start, right click Computer and choose Manage. Open the Local Users and Groups section, then Users, right click your account and choose Set Password.

I hope this helps.

If you can't fix it with duct tape, you haven't used enough.
