Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams
Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary
technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a
Microsoft Agent or
Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an
official
Microsoft global customer service number.
If you suspect malware use the below to do a thorough job. Remember no one program can detect or remove
all malware. Added that easy to detect malware is often accompanied by mh hard to detect and remove payloads.
These can be done in Safe Mode - repeatedly tap F8 as you boot however you should also run them in
regular Windows when you can.
Download malwarebytes and scan with it, run MRT, and add Prevx to be sure it is gone. (If Rootkits run UnHackMe)

Run DiskCleanup - Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup
Start - type this in Search Box -> COMMAND find at top and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN
Enter this at the prompt - sfc /scannow
