How Do You add a Program to allowed Items in Window Defender?

When the Blocked  Program warning comes up it does not offer the  option to add it to the allowed programs.  Is there a way to do this without resorting to use the Task Schedular ?

Windows Defender and startup items…

In the Windows Defender options there is something called Software Explorer. You can use this to view, enable, and disable startup items. Please note that you will need to be on an account with Administrator credentials to make these changes.

Using Windows Defender to block or allow startup items…

1.     Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Windows Defender.

2.     Click Tools, and then click Software Explorer.

3.     Next to Category select Startup Programs.

4.     Locate the program you want to unblock, in the left pane, and then select it.

5.     In the right pane click on the Enable button.

6.     Restart the computer, and the previously blocked program will no longer be blocked on startup.
