Windows Movie Maker audio import error

Purchased an mp3 song from Amazon.com and get an import error when trying to load into Windows Movie Maker.  Whether I try to import it from the D drive (burned the origianl download to a CD) or from the music file on my computer I get the same error...A Song For My Son.mp3 could not be imported. The song does play on my computer.

Any help on getting the audio file to load to Windows Movie Maker?

Movie Maker has compatibility issues with MP3 files...
even when they import successfully...issues can
develop when Publishing (saving) the movie.

Might be worth a try to convert the files to the WMA
format before importing into Movie Maker.

The following freeware program can do the conversion:

(FWIW...it's always a good idea to create a System
Restore point before installing software or updates)

1) Format Factory
http://www.pcfreetime.com/
(the file you want to download is : >FFSetup250.zip<
(FWIW...when installing...you may want to
uncheck all the boxes on the final screen)

First...after downloading and installing Format
Factory...you may want to open the program and
left click the 'Option' button on the toolbar and
select an 'Output Folder' / Apply / OK.
(this is where you will find your files after they
are converted)

Drag/drop your .mp3 files onto the main screen...

Select 'All to WMA' / OK...

Click...Start...on the toolbar...

That should do it...
