PAL DVD Playback

Can I play a PAL format DVD using Windows Media Player?   and do I need to change any settings in WMP to do so?   I currently have Windows Vista service pack 2

Hi jdrocknut,

 

Is it a burnt DVD or did you purchase it from a store? Is it a regionalized DVD?

 

Yes, you can play PAL (Phase Alternating Line) format DVD in Windows Media Player.

 

Ideally, you don’t have to alter anything in Windows Media Player, let me know if you are getting any error message when you try to play the DVD.
