When I right click the sound icon, and select sounds, I receive a pop-up: Audio Service Not Running: This computer cannot play audio because the Windows Audio Service is not enabled. Would you like to enable the Windows Audio Service? When I select the "Yes" option, a User Account Control pop-up opens requesting permission to run and a new window, Sound opens. on the Playback tab Speakers/Headphones is checked, when I select the Sounds tab, I'm not sure what to select from the choices I'm givenor if I'm even in the right place to re-enamble sound on my laptop. I did some searching to find a solution at thinnk part of my problem is that Dell Support turned-off a lot of things that were enabled in Start-up. I have seen an Error 1068, been told it is a Display Adapter or HP RC MIrror Driver. I'm very confused at this point and don't have any idea how to fix this problem. I'm not a computer expert but I like to think I'm not stupid either, but I'm stumped and because I've had so many problems with my computer I'm affraid to try many things and I don't trust Dell Support, they disable things and do not explain why or tell me what to expect. They have also disabled Windows Updates so it not longer runs. I would love someone to pro vide some easy to follow instructions that will help me undue what Dell Support disabled and get sound back on my laptop which I'm not certain is fixable even though it is only a few weeks old.
