Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library runtime error.

I am receiving the microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library runtime error Program:C:\Program Files\IE\iexplore.exe error that says This application has requested runtime to terminate it in an unusual way Please contact the applications support team for more information. I am then completely locked out of the internet.  I have removed my McAfee software, removed the Google toolbar and returned IE to default settings (all of which were recommended in the forum), and reinstalled my McAfee software, which was successful.  However, as soon as I tried to put my Yahoo toolbar back on, the message came again and locked me out of IE again.  How do I resolve this problem so I can have a toolbar again?

Hi Mollymsmom,

Runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program from working correctly. Runtime errors might cause you to lose information in the file you're working on, cause errors in the file (corrupt the file) so you can't work with it, or prevent you from using a feature. Unlike stop errors, runtime errors don't typically cause Windows or a program to stop working.

I would suggest you to refer the article and check if it helps:

Note: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To rerun a scan with the latest anti-malware definitions, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner. If Scanner finds any infected files, it may delete it and the data will be lost.
