I am a college student and I am taking 2 of my classes online. As soon as I decided to take my classes online my computer starts acting up again. I cant afford to take it to the geek squad cause I'll fall behind in my classes. This has happened before, the blue screens, and I was about to start my classes so instead of sending it out to be diagnosed, I thought I could fix the problem by just installing a new hard drive. So thats what I did. About a week later I got another blue screen and since I had just put the new hard drive and have a warranty, I took it back and they fixed it, didn't really get into what the problem was. Now about a month has passed and the dreaded blue screen is back. This time I wrote down all the error codes and everything I've done to try and fix the problem. I'm guessing that passing up the diagnostics and installing a new hard drive was a mistake, since I spent $260 and the problem isn't fixed. Anyhow sorry I got carried away with the details, but I'm desperate! Last night, I got the first blue screen and it read; The usual "a problem was detected and windows had to shut down to prevent damage to your computer."
Then it said (and this was the first and only time I seen this message) "Run a system diagnostics utility supplied by your hardware manufacturer. In particular run a memory check and check for faulty or mismatched memory. Try changing your video adapter." And then the usual "disable any hardware or drivers and software etc... Tech info: STOP:0x0000007F(0x00000000,0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). Then I started it up in safe mode w/networking, ran windows memory diagnostics tool and it found nothing. Then I tried Microsoft fix it and I googled changing video adapter. That ended me upgoing into the properties of my video adapter to find out info about the driver. Somehow I got onto Intel'ssupport and found a newer driver for my video adapter so I downloaded it. But then I got the blue screen again. This time it read; "A problem has been detected etc. FLTMGR_FILE_SYSTEM with Tech Info STOP:0x000000F5(0x0000006E ,0x87AD62F8, 0x87AD62C8, 0x00000000). Can you please tell me what is going on so I can fix this problem once and for all! Or should I just invest in a new computer? Thank you for your time.
