Unidentified Network: No Internet Access at all.

I have a Dell Laptop running Vista, I have maintained all the updates and for the last 4 years it has been surprisingly problem free. I got home from work yesterday and suddenly could not connect to the internet. It connected to my home network (Netgear10) and nothing has changed. Calls it an unidentified Network. It won't connect to the internet even if I plug it into the router with an Ethernet cable. I tried the fixes on the Microsoft site and got nothing, I deleted my driver and re-installed, nothing. Now it won't connect to a network at all, when I try to connect the process just hangs. Any help?
Thanks
