Zebra UPS LP2844 Won't Print

Hi Guys,

I have scoured the internet and installed a million different drivers from UPS to Seagull to straight from the zebra site.

OS is windows 7 64bit, printer is connected via USB.

Bought a used Zebra UPS LP2844... On the bottom side it is labelled as Eltron UPS LP2844.

I am usually able to install the driver, selected USB 001 as the port. When it comes to going to print nothing happens. In control panel, you don't even see the job come up. Nothing at all.

So I am completely stumped where to go from here, have no been able to print one page yet.

Keep in mind, I am usually printing PDF labels from firefox or from a saved PDF.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried using a different port?

Control Panel > Printers and Devices

Right click on Printer Icon

Select Properties > Select Ports Tab

I there a checkmark in the box next to LPT Port?  Uncheck it.

Check USB

Click Apply, Ok

Have you tried using a different port?

What are the lights on the printer when you attempt to print?

Media does not advance

1. Check interface cable connections from computer to printer.

2. Make sure top cover is locked closed.

3. Check that labels are correct.

4. Verify media has print surface up for printing.

5. Printer has a syntax or command error.  Check program and resent print job.

■ Is the printer in pause mode?  If so, press the feed button.
■ If the status LED is on or flashing, refer to “What the Status LED is Telling You” on page 33.
■ Make sure the data cable is correctly installed.
■ A communications problem has occurred.  First, make sure that the correct communications port on the computer is selected.  Refer to “Communicating with the Printer” on page 15.

Smitty thanks for all your help, I gave the zebra setup utilities a 2nd try and for some reason it work.

I do have one more problem I can't seem to figure out, been fulling with landcape and auto and I can't get my labels to print correctly in portrait mode.

This is what they look like, how can I get the label to print vertically?
