Windows won't start unless it's in safe mode.

When I turn on my computer the screen goes black unless I start it in safe mode. The screen is black but I can still see the mouse pointer. How can I fix this problem?

Answer
Answer

This often works, you will have to reinstall your display adater after getting back into regular mode.

Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - RIGHT CLICK - UNINSTALL

If you can get back to regular mode

Go back and click the DISPLAY ADAPTER - double click UPDATE DRIVER

APPLY/OK - REBOOT

This will install the last certified driver Microsoft has HOWEVER that will not necessarily be the one you really
want to be using as they are always old.

So go to System Maker's site and get their latest driver install it per their instructions, AND then go to device
maker's site (display adapter) and look for an even later updated.

BTW you can usually reinstall these drivers in Safe Mode if needed.

Manually look at manufacturer's sites for drivers
