Vista can not locate the drivers for my new LifeCam

Original Title: Problems with LifeCam VX-800 and Vista

I have a LifeCam VX-800, just bought it. Plugged it in, and Vista cannot locate the correct drivers. Have been to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929087, but when I click on the page it suggests to look for the drivers, there are no drivers for this webacam. Can someone please help? Have tried to reinstall drivers; doesn't work!!

 

Is there anywhere else I can get the drivers from, since they're not on this site? And how is this product plug and play??

OK, maybe you could try this - go at this page:

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/downloads

 

and click "WebCams" and choose LiveCam VX-1000 instead of VX-800. Select your OS Vista and try to download and install "LifeCam 3.2 32-bit and 64-bit for Windows Vista (exe)".

 

Note - before installing the driver unplug your WebCam and plug it after the installation.
